Appointment With Death
by Agatha Christie
This is the first time I have the courage to read one of Agatha Christie's novels, I admit that I had high hopes but it was not as wonderful as I expected but it was a nice experience and I won't mind reading more of her books in the future.
The story follows a mysterious crime by an unexpected culprit that occurred in Petra and the victim was Mrs Boynton .
The Boynton family was strange , all its members were controlled by Mrs Boynton, she was tough and devoted herself in guiding her family the way she liked and not one of them could escape from her prison.
They went to Jerusalem on a short vacation, while Carol and Raymond were talking about their unbearable lives which their stepmother Mrs Boynton made them suffer, in the next room at the hotel, an expert detective named Hercule Poirot overheard a dangerous sentence told by Raymond which was an important clue in his next detective's mission.
When they found Mrs Bonton's dead body in her cave in Petra each one of her family member was a suspect, however no one denied his hate towards her, and that made it more complicated for Hercules Poirot to reveal the real criminal
I bet that the reader won't expect the right killer because the story is well written and full of suspense.
