Mrs Rose offered to look after Mary , but she had cold personality and toughness to her ; she was a genuine archenemy instead of being a second mother for poor Mary. She succeeded to deceive her into the thinking she won't be a mom in the future, because nobody would get engaged with a girl whith a twisted leg.
As the doctor Amony reach the newspaper shop , he noticed a hand made doll hidden in the window's corner of the shop, it looked almost alive! . He decided to buy it for his niece on her birthday.
During the following days he couldn't stop thinking of the doll and its maker.
Once Mrs Rose call the doctor to check Mary's health , he saw the same kind of dolls in Mary's room. He figured out that the beautiful sad girl made all those dolls to create her own happiness and her "nominal" children .
He strived to help her , because he recognized that her twisted leg was one of Mrs Rose 's gimmicks to keep her earning money from selling Mary's hand made dolls.
In the end they could settle down , and make a small happy family.
Marry thought she was ugly , useless unworthy , which made her life emty and dull l. She lived without love , care or respect. She was dying because had no desire to live anymore without love. Doctor Amony gave her that tremendous support to start thinking of her future and her bright new life.
A single word may change you positively , likewise it may destroy you.
The end was ridiculous, like fairly tales can be. Highly recommended for children and English beginners because the language was really easy to understand.
